SERVICE SUMMARY: The best things in life—the best restaurants, the best albums, the best views, the best movies—demand to be shared. We can’t help but beckon another to taste what we have tasted and to confirm it to be good. So if Jesus is the life of the world, how do we share his message and presence with others? Join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series on our core values.

The secret of man is the secret of his responsibility.

Knowing what you know about yourself and the world, having read what you’ve read, having seen what you’ve seen, what are you going to do?

Psalm 34:1-8;11

I will bless the Lord at all times;

    his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the Lord;

    let the humble hear and be glad.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me,

    and let us exalt his name together!

I sought the Lord, and he answered me

    and delivered me from all my fears.

Those who look to him are radiant,

    and their faces shall never be ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him

    and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encamps

    around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!

    Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Come, O children, listen to me;

    I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:1-2

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

Father, you have shown us the way of life through your Son, Jesus Christ.

We confess that we are slow to learn from him,

reluctant to follow him,

and hesitant to tell others about him.

Silent Confession

Have mercy on us, Lord, and forgive us. Renew us by your Holy Spirit and make us more like Jesus.
