SERVICE SUMMARY: Full gyms on January 2 are vacated by the end of February. Whether it is cleaning out your closet, starting a new exercise routine, or reading through Leviticus, it is hard to keep going, especially in the face of adversity. How can we persevere? It is an important question, especially when we are talking about following Jesus. This week we are starting a new series on the book of Jude, which reminds us that it is the love of Jesus that keeps us going. We hope you will join us.

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Gracious God, with you there is abundance. You have richly blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Jesus Christ. You have made us heirs of the world and said that all things are ours. Forgive us for doubting your love, for rejecting your gifts, and for thinking that you are stingy rather than abundant with your generosity.

silent confession

Lord Jesus,

come to us,

Divine Spirit,

rest upon us,

Holy Father,

look on us in mercy
for the sake of your beloved Son.
