We all want to have God on our side. In fact, competing groups throughout history have made that audacious claim. But God doesn’t take sides the way we do–he is on his own side. He is the Lord of all people, not just our particular tribe. Join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series on Knowing the One and Only True God.
The reality is, of course, as soon as you think seriously about it, that the mission field is everywhere, including your own street – wherever there is ignorance or rejection of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thus says the Lord:
“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
for soon my salvation will come,
and my righteousness be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man who does this,
and the son of man who holds it fast,
who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it,
and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
3 Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say,
“The Lord will surely separate me from his people”;
and let not the eunuch say,
“Behold, I am a dry tree.”
4 For thus says the Lord:
“To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths,
who choose the things that please me
and hold fast my covenant,
5 I will give in my house and within my walls
a monument and a name
better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
that shall not be cut off.
6 “And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord,
to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord,
and to be his servants,
everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it,
and holds fast my covenant—
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain,
and make them joyful in my house of prayer;
their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
will be accepted on my altar;
for my house shall be called a house of prayer
for all peoples.”
8 The Lord God,
who gathers the outcasts of Israel, declares,
“I will gather yet others to him
besides those already gathered.”
22 “Turn to me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 By myself I have sworn;
from my mouth has gone out in righteousness
a word that shall not return:
‘To me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall swear allegiance.’
24 “Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me,
are righteousness and strength;
to him shall come and be ashamed
all who were incensed against him.
25 In the Lord all the offspring of Israel
shall be justified and shall glory.”
CONFESSION OF SIN: During this season of Lent we will be singing our confessions of sin. There will be space for silent, private confession during the song. Please use this time to reflect on the ways you’ve failed to love God and your neighbor and confess them to our Merciful God.
Most merciful God, our Father of grace,
we confess we have sinned,
we have walked our own way.
Our love has been fickle,
our hearts they have strayed.
So, Lord, in your mercy, forgive us we pray.
Restore us, change us. Lord, lead us on.
sing VERSE and CHORUS (x2)
That we may do justly,
forever love mercy,
together walk humbly
with you. (x3)
